Grey Area

A grey area is a situation that ranges in varying degrees of indecision and uncertainty in regards to declaring definite conclusions about any given subject matter.

In 2017, I took a leap into the unknown and moved across the country to the great American southwest. In attempt to distract my curious mind from the uncertainty of life decisions, these color-stripped images from my travels explore the nature of basic form, pattern, and texture. In a world full of skewed decision-making and uncertainty, it’s comforting to reflect on the remarkable concrete entities mother nature has to offer.

This body of work consists of photographs that were taken in various locations around Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and California between the years of 2017 and 2018. All photographs were taken with a canon 60D DSLR and were digitally edited in Adobe Lightroom.
