media's influence
Media is the main means of mass communication through technology and advertising. Television, newspapers, magazines, radio, the internet, and even music are all examples of communicative media. With so much control over social knowledge, it is not hard for the media to thwart people's belief systems, actions, and morals. While some influenced priorities can be quite positive, others may lead to negative outcomes.
I am concerned with mass media's level of control because it can lend its hand towards widespread ignorance, panic, distraction, and immoral standardization. The media’s influence on politics, social conventions, and psychological priorities can all have very significant impacts on the way people live their lives. It is up to the individul to decipher the mess and make their own decisions. Some people are able to navigate these persuasive obstacles better than others, but for some, being left to their own demise can be detrimental to their well-being.
